How to register
Check you live within the boundary area
To access our registration process, first check you are in our catchment area. If you have any questions about your eligibility to join this surgery please contact us.
Temporary services
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive treatment from your local GP practice.
You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months, allowing you to be on our practice list while remaining a patient of your permanent GP. If you wish to remain registered after three months, you will need to re-register permanently.
Practices do not have to accept you as a temporary patient. You cannot register as a temporary patient at a practice in the town or area where you are already registered.
To register as a temporary patient simply contact the practice you wish to use. Your named GP
We assign all new and existing patients with a named accountable GP to oversee their care.
For patients aged 75 and over, the named accountable GP is responsible for:
- working with health and social care professionals to deliver a care package that meets the needs of the patient
- ensuring that these patients have access to a health check
Patients can still choose to see any GP in the surgery. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate their preference.
If you have a preference or want to know who your named GP is, contact us for more information.
